Sarah Dille for AISD

A campaign built from the ground up

A grassroots school board campaign needs to make an impression, build recognition, and connect with its community. For Sarah Dille's campaign for Austin ISD Board of Trustees, District 6, I developed the visual identity and carried it across nearly every touchpoint—from the website and social media to direct mail, yard signs, and campaign events.

A home base for the campaign

The website brings the campaign together in one place, introducing Sarah, communicating her priorities, and giving supporters ways to get involved. I designed and built the site around the campaign identity, with clear messaging, straightforward navigation, and a responsive layout that works across devices.

In their own words

Some of the campaign's strongest messages came directly from the people who know Sarah. I produced a series of short video endorsements featuring supporters sharing why they believe she's the best person for the job. Edited in Adobe Express, the videos combine personal testimonials, campaign branding, and captions for accessibility, including a Spanish-language endorsement to help reach a broader audience.

Keeping the message moving

Social media became an ongoing extension of the campaign, with graphics, event announcements, video endorsements, and reminders to vote. I developed and produced content that could respond quickly to campaign needs while maintaining a consistent look and voice across platforms.

Out in the community

A campaign identity really comes to life when it leaves the screen. Yard signs, handheld signs, printed materials, and event graphics brought the same visual language into neighborhoods and gatherings across District 6. Seeing the work out in the community is a reminder that good design isn't just about how something looks—it's about helping people recognize, connect with, and participate in something.

Photos from the campaign trail

One campaign. Lots of moving parts.

From the first identity concepts through the day-to-day production of campaign materials, this project has called on just about every part of my design practice. It's a good example of what happens when a cohesive visual system meets a steady stream of real-world needs—and one designer can keep all the pieces working together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently
Asked Questions

What kinds of projects do you take on?

Branding, websites, campaigns, presentations, publications, events, information design and plenty of things that don’t fit neatly into a category.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

What if I’m not exactly sure what I need?

That’s pretty common. We can start with the problem, the audience and what you’re trying to accomplish, then figure out the right thing to make.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

Can you work with our existing brand?

Absolutely. Not every project needs a rebrand. I’m just as comfortable working inside an established system as I am helping build one from scratch.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

Can you work with our internal team?

Yes. A lot of my work has been done alongside marketing teams, writers, developers, subject-matter experts and other designers.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

Do you take ongoing or contract work?

Yes. That can mean a recurring stream of projects, embedded support for a team, or simply being someone you can call when things get busy.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

Do you build the websites you design?

For the right projects, yes. I currently build in Framer and Squarespace, and can also collaborate with developers when a site needs something more custom.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on the scope. Some projects are straightforward; others need more discovery, content, production or collaboration. Once I understand what you’re trying to do, I can recommend an approach and provide an estimate.

How long does a project take?

That varies too. A focused project might take a couple of weeks, while a larger brand or website can take several months. We’ll establish timing before the work begins.

Do you only work with clients in Austin?

No. I’m based in Austin, but I work with people wherever the project happens to be.

https://framer.link/isaacdsign

What if my project doesn’t fit one of these categories?

Good. Some of the most interesting ones don’t. Bring me the problem and we’ll figure out what it needs.

Ken’s expertise goes way beyond design. He is an incredible designer, but his exceptional talent comes in communication design. If you need to break something technical down to an easy to understand and visually beautiful masterpiece, Ken is your guy. Aside from being ultra talented, he is so easy to work with, fun to have around, and reliable is his middle name.”
